Every screen here was made for one customer.

The Roost screens are captured from our prototype on an iPhone simulator. Keel and Contour are fictional apps drawn in their categories’ component patterns, and their customers are illustrative.

Four Roost customers, four reasons to reach them.

Finish the first order

Sam, Hyde ParkFour visits in 30 days ended at the card form. No orders yet.

Ambipath’s note, Wednesday 6:10 PM

Sam has already built this exact bag and got as far as checkout four times in 30 days, stopping each time at the card form, so opening their own bag with one-tap pay removes the one step that stopped them.

Onboarding, in a bank

Keel’s onboarding leads with the first thing each new customer came to do.

A standard onboarding shows everyone the same 11 screens. The required identity steps stay exactly as the bank designed them. After those, Ambipath orders the rest by what each person came for, and moves everything else to later.

Screen 7, built for her invite. Early pay comes right after identity, with her employer matched from her work email.
Screen 8, no payroll login. HR gets a filled-in form with her account details.
Done, first action complete. The card design and savings goal wait until she has been paid.

Re-engagement, in a running app

A runner who stalled at week 3 resumes the plan at 40 minutes.

Theo ran four mornings a week until his 10K plan asked for 65-minute runs. He still opens the app at 6:30 on weekdays, so the plan picks up at his length, at that hour.
